MBA Programme

The ECBM offers a programme that enables students to gain the Master of Business Administraion in International Business within a period of 18-24 months.
The course is delivered via blended learning, and is suitable for candidates with business-based education (betriebswirtschaftliche Ausbildung) and/ or those with suitable professional experience.
The course is entirely delivered in English.

The programme is tailor-made for people who wish to move on within their jobs or who wish to change their career to a different direction and level within business management.

It focuses on the application of theoretical knowledge at a strategic level to practical business situations.

The Master of Business Administration programme consists 2 phases:

Phase 1:

The first part of the programme requires students to obtain the Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) which is taught over 3-4 long weekends in London/ Germany and 1 full week in London, over a period of 7-12 months.

The entire course is delivered through the ECBM and course participants are registered with the National Examination Board Edexcel.

Successful graduates will receive a nationally recognised qualification during a formal graduation ceremony. The certificate will be issued by the Examination Board Edexcel.

Throughout the course, participants have to undergo several assignments for each respective business management module. At the end of the course they have to write an academic business case. The topic must be chosen by MBA students themselves. Guidance throughout this process is assured as each business management student will be allocated to a supervisor.

The DMS course is the entry requirement for the final year of the MBA.

An official graduation service will take place in London during which participants receive their certificate.

Phase 2:

The second part is the MBA final year, which consists of two stages, firstly a taught component and then the completion of a supervised dissertation which must be completed in order to achieve the qualification.

The MBA taught component is delivered within 5 weekend seminars of which 4 are held in different locations in Germany and 1 in London. There will also be another 1 intensive week in London.

Organisation and tuition of the last year of the MBA programme is also carried out by staff members of the ECBM, in collaboration with our accredited university partner. Participants are registered with the university for the final phase.

The MBA is validated as a franchise from the state-certified Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) which is one of the largest universities in the UK. JMU also incorporates the recognised and established Liverpool Business School.

The ECBM itself is the training college of the German-British Chamber of Industry and Commerce

(AHK London).

According to the official resolution of the conference of ministers for the arts and culture (Beschluss der Kultusministerkonferenz) the MBA is internationally recognised and successful candidates will be able to carry the title European-wide.

An official graduation service will take place in London during which participants receive their certificate of Master of Business Administration.
