Structure / Delivery: 

  Phase 1: 

  • 1 international week in London
  • 3 weekend seminars in London and/ or Germany
  • Students are required to devote a considerable amount of free time to assignments and course-related reading
  • Taught and delivered modules will be supported via a student platform
  • Course participants will receive access to EBSCO, an Electronic Journal Service

Phase 2:

  • 7 seminars of which each seminar normally lasts 3 full days in London and/ or Germany
  • Students are required to devote a considerable amount of free time to assignments and course-related reading 
  • Taught and delivered modules will be supported via a student platform
  • It is possible to gain access to the online library of University of Wales, Newport

 

Qualificiations:

  • After completion of phase 1: Certificate in Managment Studies (CMS)
  • After completion of phase 2: BA (Hons) in Business and Management

  • Phase 1: Work Based Assignments (WBA), coursework, individual and group work, presentations
  • Phase 2: in-course/ practical work, formal examination, case studies, reflective journals for each module, written assignments

The minimum requirements for entry to the course is the German qualification of kaufmännische Berufsausbildung or similar qualification (e.g. Fremdsprachenkorrespondent/in etc.) and, ideally, Abitur.

 

Participants must have a certain level of English language skills (written and oral) as the entire course is delivered in English. The ECBM reserves the right to test language levels in some cases via a phone conversation.

 

All applicants must undertake a suitable work placement for the duration of the course or be employed. Many of our students live and work in Germany and commute for weekends to the ECBM in London.
