Lydia Benton, postgraduate student

Lydia Benton graduated in autumn 2006 with her Bachelor (Honours)-degree. She now went on to gain her Master degree at the renowned LSE (London School of Economics and Political Science) in London.

Lydia came to London after finishing her Abitur in Germany.

In London she worked within a trainee programme and, at the same time, studied on the entry programme at the ECBM that enabled her to then move on to the fast-track Bachelor.

She now is aiming towards an international career and is topping it up with a Master degree at LSE in London which has a very good reputation.

She especially enjoyed the personal atmosphere at the College.

Also, she points out that she would do the course again as it allowed her to combine valuable work experience and to gain a BA-degree at the same time at a very young age.

Based on her own learning she would recommend the BA to everyone who is young and has little work experience.

Stefan Tribelhorn, Norddeutsche Landesbank

Stefan Tribelhorn, Associate in Corporate & Structured Finance at Norddeutsche Landesbank in London, has finished the HND and BA with the ECBM. This commercial bank is represented all over the world and is internationally involved in finances and trades.

Stefan had completed his apprenticeship in Germany (‘Bankkaufmann’) and had worked in Italy, Japan and Germany. He decided to come to London in order to focus on his career, developing his professional expertise in banking.

While studying at the ECBM he was already working at the Bremer Landesbank. Throughout his study, he moved on in his job and was finally offered a permanent position in the Norddeutsche Landesbank where he is still working today.

He is convinced that a university degree abroad is prove of your personal abilities and capacities and will definitely improve your career prospects, both in Germany where Bachelor and Master degrees are being introduced and abroad.
